NEULAND celebrates topping-out ceremony in Wolfsburg's Nordstadt district

Wolfsburg, 14 November 2025. NEULAND Wohnungsgesellschaft mbH celebrated the topping-out ceremony for its new construction project "Neue Reihe" in Wolfsburg's Nordstadt district today. Together with Mayor Dennis Weilmann, Supervisory Board Chair Immacolata Glosemeyer, representatives of B+O Bau GmbH and other guests from politics, the construction industry, the Supervisory Board, the workforce and the neighbourhood, the progress of the construction work was officially recognised.
The "Neue Reihe" project is creating a modern and diverse residential quarter in a central location that embodies the guiding principle of "housing for all". NEULAND is creating a wide range of affordable, barrier-free and sustainable living space for people of different generations and life situations.

A special feature of the construction project is the hybrid construction method using concrete and wood, which combines ecological sustainability with structural efficiency and durability.

"The combination of concrete and wood combines stability, sound insulation and energy efficiency with a natural, healthy indoor climate," explained Hans-Dieter Brand, spokesman for the NEULAND management board. "We are thus focusing on a construction method that is ecologically sound and economically viable – a concept that serves as a model." Irina Franz, managing director of NEULAND, added: "With the Neue Reihe, we are consciously investing in the future of housing in Wolfsburg. Our aim is to create high-quality yet affordable living space that will stand the test of time – ecologically, economically and in terms of urban development. The project shows how we, as a municipal company, are taking responsibility and actively shaping the development of our city."

Immacolata Glosemeyer, Chair of the NEULAND Supervisory Board, emphasised the social dimension: "The new 'Neue Reihe' development is a long-awaited project for the residents of Nordstadt. The neighbourhood offers a wide range of housing options – from owner-occupied homes to city apartments near the castle park. With the 'Wohnen für Alle' (Housing for All) project, people on a smaller budget will also be able to live in an attractive environment in future. This successful social mix strengthens cohesion in the district – a goal to which NEULAND and its employees are deeply committed." Mayor Dennis Weilmann also praised NEULAND's commitment: "NEULAND is a strong partner for Wolfsburg. Projects such as the Neue Reihe create sustainable, liveable neighbourhoods that further develop our city in a positive way." The topping-out ceremony marks an important milestone. NEULAND thanked everyone involved – planners, craftsmen, partner companies and residents – for their commitment and understanding during the construction phase.

Outlook: The Neue Reihe is
scheduled for completion next year. Then the first tenants will move in and fill the new neighbourhood with life. NEULAND is already planning to incorporate the experience gained from this project into further construction projects – as a contribution to a sustainable, socially responsible Wolfsburg fit for the future.
